A liaison between business, government & the public.

Diane S. Kim is a community engagement and public-relations leader with twenty years of experience moving messages — and people — between private and public sectors. She has built her practice on a simple proposition: that the most durable partnerships are convened, not announced.
As Principal of DSK Consulting, Diane advises corporate executives, nonprofit boards and civic officials on strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and the design of signature public events. Recent work spans the Irvine Korean Cultural Festival, the Pacific Rim Spotlight at the Newport Beach Film Festival, ChimacFest 2026, and the 2023 World Korean Business Convention.
“The work isn't about the press release. It's about who is still in the room when the press leaves.”
Diane chairs the Board of Trustees at the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, serves on the Executive Board of the Korean Cultural Center of Orange County, and on the board of the UCI Alumni Association. She is a member of the Dean's Leadership Society at the UCI School of Social Sciences, the Leadership Advisory of the UCI Center for Critical Korean Studies, and serves as External Relations Director for the Korean American Chamber of Commerce of Orange County.
She lives in Irvine, California, with her family — and is most at home at the intersection of a boardroom, a banquet hall, and a community center.
