Bowers Museum · Community Day

The Bowers Museum has been a cultural anchor in Santa Ana for ninety years. DSK's brief: community engagement and stakeholder outreach connecting Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese and Vietnamese community organizations to the museum's exhibitions and education programs — including the SoCal Museums Annual Free-For-All day that opens the museum, at no charge, to the region's families.

The Bowers' programming spans nine permanent exhibitions — from Ancient Arts of China: A 5000 Year Legacy and Art of the Pacific Islands to California Legacies: Missions and Ranchos. DSK's role is to convene the right community partners so those exhibitions live beyond the gallery walls and into local cultural calendars.

Enjoy free General Admission to the Bowers Museum during this year's Annual Free-For-All day.

The work pairs press strategy with relationship-building: briefing reporters on cultural context, coordinating with consular partners, and threading the museum's exhibition calendar through the community organizations that translate it into family programming and school visits.
